This dirt cannot be removed through conventional cleaning. Despite repetitive washing and mopping the stain remain on the floor.<\/p>\n<p>The second indication would be that there are cracks on the tiles. These cracks occur especially if heavy objects fall on the terrazzo tiles. These can be dangerous as it can make the floor uneven and cause the floor to be slippery.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Restore the Terrazzo Tiles?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1.) Cleaning and Burnishing the Terrazzo Tiles<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Run an inspection on the floor. Make sure that there are no old sealers remaining on the tile. To remove this we recommend Tile Doctor Remove &amp; Go solution (TD Solution). This is a powerful cleaner\/stripper designed to both breaks down old layers of sealant. It can lift out any ingrained dirt.<span id=\"more-847\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Give the floor a rinse with water to remove any excess cleaning product. Do this before moving onto a different cleaning process, known as burnishing. Burnishing is a process involving polishing the surface with to achieve a pleasing sheen finish. The TD solution burnishing system consists of 4 diamond encrusted burnishing pads with different levels of grit.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Apply the course burnishing pad first. Follow it up with the medium, fine then finally the very fine pads. The very fine pads can help achieve a very refined quality polished finished. You will need to rinse the floor with water to lubricate the burnishing process. You will need to rinse the floor to remove the slurry.<\/p>\n<p>Allow the floor to dry completely. Fill the cracks in the tiles with two part resin stone filler.<\/p>\n<p>Once the filler has dried, you will need to re-polish the floor using only the extra fine burnishing pad.\u00a0 Take note to focus your attention along the crack lines. This really helped to reduce the evidence of cracks and left instead of a smoothed surface.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.) Sealing a Terrazzo tiled floor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The final stage of the restoration will involve sealing the Terrazzo tiles with Tile Doctor Colour Glow. This sealer impregnates the stone seeping into its pores. This provides protection to the terrazzo tiles by applying a robust seal. The seal can help strengthen the terrazzo tiles and would make it capable of withstanding huge foot traffic. The final step is to buff the entire area with a soft white buffing pad.<\/p>\n<p>Conclusion<\/p>\n<p>Once you complete these steps your terrazzo tiles will be good as new.
