Terrazzo offers that much colour on the table so you can enjoy the designs you want in your terrazzo tiles, in situ, pre casts, pavers, partitions and outdoor furniture.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"terrazzo<\/p>\n

Once you have decided on the design concept that you want and the material to be used one usually picks the colour scheme one desires for that overall look and design of their homes, building structures or businesses (Restaurant, Specialty Shop\/Store or the Company floor) or even the patio, the walkway or swimming pool area. Your colour choice can either highlight or tone down the ambience of your place, office, and your chosen pre-fabricated elements. <\/span><\/p>\n

For terrazzo tiles, it should be laid, grouted and machine polished on site. It creates a seamless floor with the grout level with the tile. The finishes can be any of the following: Sealed Polished Finish \u2013 the standard finish to commercial retail projects. The floor is ground on site and a protective shiny sealer is applied to the floor. This sealer is maintained to ensure that the floor always looks like the day it was handed over. Machine Polished Finish \u2013 the floor is ground and machine polished on site with a penetrating sealer applied. This type of finish is appropriate for low traffic areas. Honed Anti Slip Finish \u2013 the floor is ground on site to a honed finish. If non slip texture is required a non-slip additive is added to the manufacturing process that will not easily wear off. \u00a0Light colours are not recommended for this type of finish and the use of epoxy grout is recommended.<\/span><\/p>\n

For in situ terrazzo, which is the premium flooring product on the market, it is poured on site for a true seamless finish. This type of terrazzo also employs the finishes of terrazzo tiles as enumerated above.<\/span><\/p>\n

For terrazzo pre cast elements which are manufactured in the factory and delivered on the site for easy installation the colours are a collective option and combinations, there are the traditional marble and granite chips of all colors and sizes. Then, when using epoxy terrazzo, numerous colors of recycled and virgin glass can be utilized, including recycled mirror glass, bottle glass, and plate glass and recycled porcelain.<\/span><\/p>\n

For the terrazzo pavers which are hermetically pressed to produce a durable tile which can withstand the elements while at the same time are anti slip and easy to clean. The pavers are made with various hard aggregates such as granite, river pebble, quartz and basalt combined with a cement binder to produce their unique colour. The pavers are honed in the factory and shot blast to provide an anti-slip texture. To add to that prestigious look, each tile is individually chamfered for that impressive look.<\/span><\/p>\n
